K9-INDIGO centers its training program around what founder Indigo Will calls a "balanced, holistic" approach. According to their website, Will developed this method through years of hands-on experience that began with solving behavioral issues in his own household and eventually expanded to mentoring other trainers. The business describes their process as moving dogs through three distinct phases: an initial learning period using positive reinforcement, a proofing phase that reduces treat dependency while adding real-world distractions, and a final securing phase focused on reliable obedience outside controlled settings.
Their primary offering is a board and train program lasting four to twelve weeks, structured into tiered packages addressing everything from basic obedience to cases involving reactivity or aggression. The Long Beach operation also serves clients beyond Southern California, they state they provide luxury transportation options for out-of-state dogs, with drivers they describe as certified in pet first aid and CPR. For those who can't send their dog away, they offer online Zoom sessions covering puppy training through advanced obedience.
The business notes on their site that private in-person lessons have become limited as demand for board and train has grown. They list discounts for multi-dog households, rescue adopters, returning clients, and military or first responder families. A client testimonial identifies K9-INDIGO as Black-owned.
