Dog-Training Businesses
If you claim a listing, create a business account, purchase Featured Placement, subscribe to Barklen business software, participate in the Academy, or otherwise use Barklen's professional services, we process information necessary to provide those services.
Clients of Dog-Training Businesses
Dog-training businesses may use Barklen software to store and manage information about their own clients, prospective clients, dogs, appointments, programs, payments, communications, and operations.
For this information, the dog-training business generally determines why the information is collected and how it is used, while Barklen provides the software and infrastructure used to process it on the business's behalf.

6. Business Customer Data

Barklen may process Business Customer Data to provide the requested software services, maintain security, provide support, comply with law, and perform other activities permitted under applicable agreements. Where required, additional data-processing terms may apply.
7. Payments
Barklen may use Stripe or another payment provider to enable payment functionality.
Depending on the payment structure, a dog-training business may establish or connect a payment account directly with the payment provider.
Payment providers may collect identity, banking, payment-card, tax, transaction, and fraud-prevention information.
Barklen may receive transaction and account information necessary to operate Barklen's payment features and calculate applicable Barklen platform fees.

Barklen is a public marketplace.
Information displayed on a public business profile may be:

10. Marketing Communications
You may receive Barklen marketing communications if you:

- Participate in Barklen programs
- Otherwise consent to receive communications
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails through the unsubscribe link provided in the message. Certain operational or account-related communications may still be sent even if you unsubscribe from marketing.

If Barklen offers text-message functionality, consent to receive marketing texts will not be required as a condition of purchasing Barklen services unless expressly permitted by law.

12. Barklen Video Interviews
Barklen may privately invite certain businesses to participate in video interviews.
Participation is voluntary.
If you accept an invitation, Barklen may collect recordings, transcripts, photographs, responses, and other media that you choose to provide.
Publication and promotional rights for Video Interviews may be governed by a separate interview consent or media release presented before participation.
13. Aggregated and De-Identified Information
Barklen may create aggregated or de-identified information from marketplace, business, and product activity.
We may use this information for purposes such as:

- Benchmarking

Where information is treated as de-identified under applicable law, Barklen will not attempt to re-identify it except as permitted by law.

Residents of certain U.S. states may have additional privacy rights.
If Barklen becomes subject to a state privacy law, Barklen will provide and honor the rights required by that law.
Barklen does not sell personal information for money.
Certain uses of advertising, analytics, or cross-context technologies may nevertheless be legally defined as "selling," "sharing," or targeted advertising under some state laws. Where applicable, Barklen will provide legally required opt-out mechanisms and honor qualifying opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control.
18. Children's Privacy
Barklen's business accounts and commercial services are not intended for children under 18.
Barklen does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without legally required parental consent.
