About this program

What they say about themselves

Operating since 1994 from a ranch property near Temecula wine country, this business combines cage-free boarding with various training programs in a deliberately small-scale setting. According to their website, they limit capacity to 10 dogs at a time to maintain what they describe as a home-like atmosphere rather than a kennel environment.

Their training approach, as they explain it, relies on short sessions broken up by play and rest, with positive reinforcement and repetition. They emphasize customizing each dog's program to simulate real-world conditions—practicing commands around distractions like other dogs, people, and food. Their "Puppy Boot Camp" is described as a two-to-three-week immersive program covering obedience, household manners, and socialization, and they advertise a guarantee with free lifetime refresher sessions whenever the dog returns for boarding.

The facility includes a newly enclosed dog-park-style play area, separate spaces for smaller dogs, climate-controlled indoor areas, and optional in-home boarding for approved guests. Beyond standard board-and-train and private lessons, Canine Solutions offers a "Fido and Me Fitness" program—outdoor sessions where owners and dogs exercise together, aimed at weight management and behavior work. They note discounts for military, seniors, teachers, and first responders.

What does Canine Solutions charge for board and train?

Board and train programs at Canine Solutions are structured by age, with separate options for puppies under six months, six to nine months, and six months to a year. Private sessions run $100 each. Board and train pricing varies by age: $1,500 for the youngest puppies' two-week boot camp, $1,750 for the 2.5-week program under six months, and $2,000 to $2,250 for older puppies. Day-rate mini camps are $125 to $150 depending on the dog's age.
