We specialize in the rehabilitation of aggressive and reactive dogs along with creating a solid foundation for the general family companion. Many of the unwanted traits become apparent when dogs are not given the right stimulus that they need to cope with city living. We strive to bring a sense of balance back to the canine, that is gone due to the social constraints of urban living. We train their human companions on how to effectively communicate with their furry friend to achieve a peaceful and enjoyable lifestyle.We have been doing dog training as a company for 7 years. Our trainers have experience working with and training dogs for a collective 35+ years. Our Trainers come from a vast background of careers such as Law Enforcement, Animal Control, Animal Shelter work, and various other non-animal related fields. We train many civilian dogs but we also work with local law enforcement agencies as well as service companions. NexGen K9 grew organically out of a love for dogs and the excitement of seeing them learn to master skills that were inherent to them from birth. From there it expanded to taking dogs that no one else wanted or could handle and showing them a better way of life through calmness and leadership.About UsWe also offer what we call "Functional Obedience" training.  These behaviors can be taught to puppies as well as senior dogs (Yes, you can teach an old dog new tricks) to ensure that your dog understands how to remain calm when guests arrive at the house as well as reliable recall even when distracted.​​To ensure your new pup has a great foundation in house breaking, basic commands, proper socialization, and pack structure give us a call. We will help you give your pup the best chances of avoiding the common mistakes people make that end up causing frustration and unwanted behaviors later.At NexGen K9 we use a combination of techniques or "methods". We constantly update our skills by attending seminars and clinics.
