Canines In Action Academy, LLC — Dog Training in Edinburg, TX

Canines In Action Academy is led by Marty Vielma, who describes himself as a certified master trainer with more than two decades of experience. According to his profile, he has worked with over 10,000 dogs across police work, service roles, therapy applications, and family companions. His listed credentials include certifications as a professional dog trainer, NePoPo Gold Premium Trainer, and law enforcement canine trainer, along with certification as an official for the National Police Canine Association.

The Edinburg facility offers private lessons, board and train programs, and consultations. Their 45-minute private sessions are tailored to specific concerns identified by the owner. The board and train option, according to their site, bundles weeks of intensive work with a private lesson and several months of group class access afterward. They also list tracks for service dog development, protection training, and a fitness program for dogs.

A recurring theme in their materials is handler education. They state that owners learn the same communication and handling techniques used during training sessions, with the goal of maintaining results once the dog returns home. The academy says it works with dogs regardless of breed, size, age, or behavioral history, and emphasizes building foundational skills as the basis for lasting improvement.
