About Canine Texas Training LLC

Based on what the business publishes about itself

Lonnie Gautreau owns and operates this board-and-train facility on a two-acre residential property outside Montgomery, Texas, where he lives full-time with the dogs in his care. According to the business's website, he personally handles feeding, training, and daily management for each dog rather than delegating to staff. The property features a climate-controlled indoor kennel and 24-hour security cameras, with visits scheduled by appointment only.

The training approach, as described on their site, begins with positive reinforcement before introducing tools like e-collars, prong collars, or slip leads to build what they call accountability and reliable obedience. Canine Texas Training LLC offers two main board-and-train options: a 35-day program covering basics like crate training, leash manners, recall, and place command, and a 60-day program that adds more environmental proofing and off-leash work. The shorter program introduces the e-collar; the longer one incorporates additional collar types for what they describe as higher-level control. Dogs with aggression or significant behavioral issues are not accepted into these standard programs.

Returning clients can book tune-up stays of one to two weeks to reinforce earlier training. The business notes that graduates receive discounted boarding rates and follow-up lessons after completing a program.
