Best Dog Trainers in El Cajon, CA (Just Updated)

Group Classes for therapy dog certification run 8 weeks at $210 per course. Before enrolling, dogs must already have solid basic obedience skills in place, including sit, down, stay, come, and loose leash walking. This is the only program type currently listed, and it's designed specifically to prepare handler-dog teams for certification work rather than general pet obedience. No other training formats or pricing tiers are published at this time.

Group Classes range from $25 to $40 per session, covering imprinting, intro detection, and more advanced scent work. Day-long seminars and workshops are also offered through Group Classes, though pricing for those formats isn't published yet. Private Lessons run $100 to $150 per session, with the lower rate applying to basic and imprinting locations. All regular sessions follow a single-session format, allowing handlers and dogs to progress through the detection curriculum at their own pace.

Board and Train, Private Lessons, Group Classes, and In-Home Training are all offered, though pricing isn't currently published for any of these programs. Group Classes run 5 weeks and require an initial consultation before joining the puppy socialization sessions. In-Home Training includes follow-up sessions as part of the package. Private Lessons are available in two formats: severe behavioral sessions designed to complement the Board and Train program, and standalone aggressive dog training for all breeds and sizes.
