Tactical K9 LLC — Dog Training in Santa Clarita, CA

Tactical K9 LLC operates as a specialized training provider for law enforcement and military canine programs, not pet dog training. According to their website, founder Doug Roller leads instruction and has authored articles on e-collar and tactical patrol dog methods for publications including Police K9 Magazine and K9 Cop Magazine. He personally teaches e-collar and off-leash control courses to law enforcement agencies.

The company describes its approach as rooted in real-world experience from the Los Angeles K9 Platoon, which they claim maintains one of the highest suspect apprehension find rates in the country. Their philosophy emphasizes off-leash control through remote collar training rather than long-line methods, stating this reflects what actually works in field deployments. They indicate all instructors are current or former certified law enforcement K9 handlers or supervisors, with California POST teaching certification.

Their Santa Clarita-based operation focuses on police departments and military K9 programs across North America, covering areas like patrol dog problem-solving, K9 SWAT operations, search team tactics, and command post management. The site notes they maintain DUNS and CAGE code registration for military contracts. Pet dog owners should note this business appears oriented entirely toward working dog programs for agencies rather than civilian obedience or behavior training.
