Delta K9 Academy is a Los Angeles dog-training company offering obedience training, behavior modification, protection dogs, service dogs, boarding, and related canine services. Its obedience program is built around residential Board and Train at the company's facility, while behavior modification targets more complex concerns including reactivity, fear, resource guarding, separation anxiety, excessive barking, and animal aggression. The supplied website pages do not identify individual trainers by name or publish named professional dog-training certifications.
The core Board and Train program lasts three to four weeks and begins with a complimentary in-person Consultation and evaluation. Training includes 14 foundational obedience commands, leash manners, socialization, threshold etiquette, distraction work, weekly video updates, and one-on-one transfer sessions with the owner at completion. Delta K9 also offers personalized behavior modification for reactive, fearful, and aggressive dogs. Protection and service dogs are professionally trained and then matched or placed with clients rather than presented as standard training packages for a client's existing dog.
Delta K9 states that its obedience work uses positive reinforcement, clear markers, graduated distraction proofing, structured routines, leash pressure, and real-world practice. The site does not explicitly identify the overall methodology as balanced or force-free, and an FAQ mentions e-collars and prong collars without providing the answer in the supplied content. Residential boarding is advertised with 24/7 care, around-the-clock supervision, exercise, and photo or video updates. Current prices for obedience Board and Train and behavior modification are not published.
