Animal Minds — Dog Training in Rancho Cordova, CA

Animal Minds Behavior & Training offers a substantial mix of private and residential programs, with options ranging from early puppy development to aggression and complex behavior modification. Private Puppy Sessions are designed for dogs 8 weeks to 5 months old and cost $875. Private Obedience is available in 4-, 8-, and 12-session packages priced from $825 to $1,500, with individualized plans built around the owner's daily schedule and training goals. Private Behavior Modification starts at $950 for four sessions and can address aggression toward people or animals, resource and territorial aggression, anxiety, fearfulness, obsessive behavior, and self-harming behavior.

Board-and-train is divided into three primary tracks. Puppy 101 is available in 4-, 6-, 8-, and 12-week formats starting at $3,600 and covers socialization, crate and potty training, basic obedience, greetings, and exposure to new environments. Behavior Modification requires 8 to 10 weeks and starts at $5,500 for dogs dealing with reactivity, fear, obsessive behavior, fear biting, or escalating aggression.

Group training functions primarily as continued practice rather than an entry-level program. It is currently limited to clients who have already completed a series of private sessions or a board-and-train program, allowing alumni to continue working around distractions and reinforce previously learned skills. Private availability is also limited, with the business noting that it may temporarily stop accepting new clients when its calendar is full.
